My name is Christina, I am 48 years old and was born in Harare, Zimbabwe.

I am a Certified Financial Planner ® and completed my Post Grad in Financial Planning with distinction.

​

My dad was Austrian, my mum Zimbabwean and I am the youngest of four children. We moved from Zim to Brazil and at the age of four we moved to Austria where I grew up and completed my schooling. 

In July and August, we travelled to the sugar estates my dad had to visit as the group agronomist of Lonroh Sugar. It was paradise and I swore I would one day move back to Africa.

My father was diagnosed with colon cancer in September 1994, he died in August 1995. 

In June 1998 I moved to Zimbabwe, in 2006 to Cape Town, and in 2009 to Durban.

I am a single mother of two, I dedicated my life to my children: my job, my studies and getting us through life without much support since my family lives overseas.

My son is 19 years old and currently in his second year at university studying BCom (Law). My daughter is 15 years old and currently in Grade 10 at a special needs school.

My aim for Let's Chat Cancer is to not only tell my story, but increase the awareness around the affects of cancer. On life, on relationships, on finances.
